The 2024 Tony Awards nominations were dominated by the musicals Hell’s Kitchen and Stereophonic, earning 13 nods each. Close behind with 12 nominations is The Outsiders, a musical adaptation of the classic coming-of-age novel and Francis Ford Coppola film.
Several major Hollywood stars also received nominations, including Daniel Radcliffe, Eddie Redmayne, Rachel McAdams, Sarah Paulson, Jessica Lange, Jeremy Strong, Liev Schreiber, Amy Ryan, and Leslie Odom Jr. Notable productions in the running for Best Musical include Hell’s Kitchen, Water For Elephants, The Outsiders, Suffs, and Illinoise.
The upcoming 77th Tony Awards will be hosted by Ariana DeBose at the Lincoln Center For The Performing Arts in New York City on June 16th. The ceremony will be broadcast on CBS and streamed on Paramount+
